About the Centre

IIM Ahmedabad has recently set up the Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Case Method of Learning (MMCoECML) to strengthen the case pedagogy. The case method has been integral to IIMA’s pedagogical approach since its inception. This new Centre has been established to further that legacy through structured faculty training, support for case development and dissemination, and outreach via conferences and research. The Centre is named in honour of Mr. Madan Mohan Mohanka, PGP 1967 and Chairman, TEGA Industries - who has made significant contributions to management education and industry.

Centre’s Key Activities

Promote research, teaching, training, knowledge building, and related activities in the area of the case method of learning
Coach faculty - induct and continue to support IIMA faculty and others for excelling as case instructors
Support for developing cases (funding, research assistance, reviewing, and editing)
Do research on case pedagogy
Propagate case methodology through conferences, workshops, and short-term Faculty Development Programmes
Any other related activity that the Institute may deem desirable
