I am a PhD Scholar in the Economics area at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. My primary research interest lies in Development Economics. In particular, I am interested in studying the effect of Financial Inclusion on household-level decision-making and welfare outcomes. I am also investigating the role of bank account ownership by women in reducing their relative deprivation within households. Also, I am interested in using Network Theory to investigate how neighbourhood composition impacts homophilous behaviour of rural households in informal sharing networks. I have done my Master’s in Economics from BITS, Pilani campus (dual degree with Manufacturing Engineering). I then finished my MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi, following which I worked in various Rural Marketing roles in the corporate sector for five years
