Rajni Kant Bansal

Biography

Rajni Kant Bansal is a faculty member at IIM Ahmedabad in the area of Operations and Decision Sciences. He received his doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as his M.S.E. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2012. He has also worked as a Risk Analyst at Credit Suisse.

Rajni’s research focuses on addressing game-theoretic, graph-theoretic, and optimization problems, with applications in electricity market design, grid planning, and energy policy.
