Till 2011, it was a given that 95% of those who got into India’s premier postgraduate programme (PGP) in management at IIM-Ahmedabad would be engineers. That notion has changed. Over the past seven years, the institute has made consistent efforts to improve its student diversity. Its efforts have paid off. For the 2018-20 period, a record 33% of non-engineering students have made it to the institute.
