For them it was time to give back to their alma mater and contribute to creating and preserving valuable assets. On Wednesday, IIM-A raised Rs 7.5 crore from its alumni, Raghunandan G, and Aprameya R, the co-founders of TaxiForSure, to support infrastructure funding for conservation and upgrade of the IIM heritage campus. While the CEO of and MD of RBL Bank, Vishwavir Ahuja Rs 2.5 cr towards constructing a classroom in the new IIMA campus.
Vishwavir Ahuja, a 1981 batch PGP alumnus, and MD and CEO of RBL Bank, said they are proud to be associated with IIM-A. "RBL has significantly benefitted from the quality education imparted at IIM-A through several IIM-A alumni in the senior management team. RBL is delighted to make a contribution of Rs 2.5 crore for our shared vision to support education excellence at IIM-A," said Ahuja.
Ashish Nanda, director of IIM-A, said, "Alumni are a source of strength for the institute. They contribute in many different ways to support the institute's priorities. IIM-A deeply values their meaningful and significant contributions."
