Former president and veteran politician Pranab Mukherjee will soon be seen in a new role. Pranabda, as he is fondly called, will be teaching the students of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A). He will be the second former President of India, the first being APJ Abdul Kalam, to teach at IIM-A. While Kalam taught a course titled 'Globalising and Resurgent India through Innovative Transform', Mukherjee will be teaching a new course called 'Public policy for Inclusive Development of India'.

The new course will have 22 sessions and Mukherjee will be taking 12 sessions at the JSW School of Public Policy within the IIM-A campus. “This new course is housed within the JSW School of Public Policy at IIMA and Shri Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India, is to be the faculty for at least 12 out of 22 sessions”, IIM-A was quoted as saying by a report in Mint. However, the institute has not clarified whether the service of the former president is free of he will be paid for it. According to the reports, all students from its MBA programme, agri-business programme, and the full-time executive programme will attend the course.
