Ending months of speculation, Ministry of Human Resource and Development on Tuesday appointed Prof Errol D’Souza as director of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). Prof D’Souza, a research fellow from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, who teaches Economics at IIMA has been appointed on the post for a period of five years beginning from February 1.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of Board and IIMA Society on Wednesday announced the appointment of Prof D’Souza on the post of director on Wednesday. “Prof D’Souza brings experience and a track record which will be invaluable in meeting the institute’s goals and objectives. I would like to thank my colleagues who participated in the selection process. Their efforts are deeply appreciated.
