In the recently held Govening Council meeting of NCUI, NCCT secretary Mohan Mishra presented a brochure enlisting the achievements of NCCT. Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav who released the brochure gave a copy each to the members.

A satisfied Mishra later told Indian Cooperative the overall performance of NCCT during the year 2015-16 has been quite appreciable. The conduct of training programme by the units of NCCT surpassed the target of 1600 programmes with an outstanding achievement of 2170 training programmes altogether.

The same has also been reflected in the number of participants trained, against the target of 40000 participants the units of NCCT trained 70687 participants. The achievement of NCCT is 136% in respect of the conduct of programmes and 177% in respect of participants trained. The achievement in the number of programmes and participants is accomplished by organizing need based training programmes and improving the quality of the training programmes by the units of NCCT, Mishra added.

The Council through its network comprising of VAMNICOM, Pune, National Institute, 5 Regional Institutes of Cooperative Management, and 14 Institutes of Cooperative management has been committed to catering to the needs of the cooperative personnel as well as other allied organisations. All the RICMs/ICMs of NCCT are accredited with C-PEC, BIRD, Lucknow, NCCT Secretary claimed.

Professional courses like PGDM (Agri-Business), MBA, PGDCA, BBA and Diploma in Rural Management etc. are also being conducted by the training units to equip the participants with necessary knowledge, skills and aptitude required to manage the corporate/cooperative enterprises. These programmes have continued to expand their scope and reach by maintaining high professional standards, he underlined.

The Institutes during the year organized successful training programmes in collaboration with the organizations such as National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Bankers’ Institute of Rural Development (BIRD)-(C-PEC), National Institute of Agriculture and Marketing (NIAM) and others organizations, read a press release later sent by NCCT .

The NCCT nominated faculty members to the IIM, Ahmadabad, BIRD, Lucknow CAB, Pune, MANAGE, Hyderabad & CICTAB, Pune. Till date, 62 faculty members of different RICMs/ICMs have passed Certified Trainer course for Financial Cooperatives (CTFC) course being offered by the C-PEC BIRD Lucknow and have become certified trainers for banking/financial Cooperatives. Two faculty members were nominated for the FDP at IIM, Ahmedabad during the year. Up till 2016 total 36 faculty members completed Faculty Development Programme (FDP) at IIM, Ahmedabad, claimed the release.

The press release further read “The NCCT organised two slots of Train the Trainers (TTT) Programme for the faculty members of RICMs and ICMs. The first slot was inaugurated by Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya and the second one by Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav.”

Both the TTT programmes were conducted in collaboration with Indian Society for Training Development (ISTD) Delhi Chapter and TraNC. Altogether 40 faculty members from RICMs and ICMs across the country participated in these programmes. The valedictory function of the second TTT was organised at the IFFCO Head Quarters and Rakesh Kapur, Joint Managing Director, IFFCO addressed the participants on this occasion, it read.

The 46th Conference of Directors of RICMs and ICMs was organised in June, 2015 at IIFT, Bhopal. The Conference was inaugurated by Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President, NCUI & Chairman, NCCT. In the Conference, there were thread-bare discussions on the achievements of units of NCCT, problems being faced by the units and about the future strategy to be adopted by the units, claimed the release.

The Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shri Kumar Sanjay Krishna launched the Video Conferencing Network of NCCT with VAMNICOM and training units, RICMs/ICMs in October, 2015 at NCCT Headquarters, it said.

The NCCT organized the National Colloquium on Cooperative Training in March at NICM, Chennai which was third in the series. It was inaugurated by Mohanbhai Kundariya and presided by Chandra Pal Singh. Those who attended included Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy, Dr. Jaya Arunachalam, Smt. Irina Garg and other. The famed Prof. A. Vaidyanathan delivered Key note address, claimed NCCT release.

The 6th All India Conference of Principals and Directors of Cooperative Training Institutes (CTIs) was organised in collaboration with C-PEC BIRD, Lucknow on 29th March, 2016 at NICM, Chennai. And NABARD-GIZ Rural Financial Institutions Programme (RFIP) Evaluation Mission Team visits NCCT on 15th October, 2015, the release claimed.
