The transportation sector in India is undergoing a transformative shift toward sustainability, with electric vehicles (EVs) emerging as a key solution to reduce emissions, improve energy security, and promote innovation. The Workshop on “Driving India’s EV Tipping Point: Strategies to Accelerate Transition” aims to bridge the gap between academic research, industry advancements, and real-world implementation of EV technologies in India. Hosted by IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Transportation and Logistics (CTL) & Centre for Sustainability and Corporate Governance Research (CSCG), this high-level workshop will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and researchers to take stock of India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility landscape and chart a forward-looking agenda.  The workshop will highlight India’s key achievements in EV adoption and ecosystem development, while also engaging with the technological, economic, social, and regulatory challenges that remain. It will feature distinguished keynote addresses, cutting edge research insights from IIMA on demand trends, supply side dynamics, and the policy landscape, along with curated panel discussions and focused policy dialogues.  With a strong emphasis on solutions and opportunities, the workshop aims to identify actionable pathways, strengthen innovation ecosystems, and build policy momentum to accelerate the next phase of scalable, inclusive, and sustainable EV adoption in India.
