Message from the Chairperson Online MBA
The two-year degree-granting MBA programme offered through an effective mix of in-person classes and live online classes titled "Online MBA" by IIMA, endeavours to equip working management professionals with managerial skills. The launch of the programme in a hybrid setup is in sync with the increasing acceptance of flexible learning modes around the world.
The in-person sessions primarily focus on instilling intricate personal and group skills necessary for the effective management of complex organisations. The sessions delivered online focus on analytical tools and elements more amenable to analytical learning. The individual and group projects that are designed as part of the programme help the participants integrate the learning from different courses in addressing business and management problems. In tune with the case pedagogy adopted at IIMA, and the seasoned cohort of participants, the sessions shall strictly focus on the application of concepts to real-life business and entrepreneurial situations.
The programme participants shall get access to all the academic and non-academic facilities at IIMA throughout the programme. The high-performance computing lab and a well-stocked library with extensive digital collections shall significantly contribute to the learning of programme participants. The graduates of the programme shall become part of the widespread network of IIMA Alumni to facilitate their continued learning through interactions.

The Online MBA programme offered by IIMA is a programme primarily delivered in an online synchronous mode, suitably complemented through five distinct on-campus modules. The blended learning design facilitates participants who prefer to strike a balance between a professional career and academic learning. While the programme is primarily delivered online, it retains the core strength of case-based pedagogy followed by IIMA in all the other programmes. IIMA believes in peer learning and it can happen only through classroom sessions whether it is on campus or technology enabled discussions. Most importantly, IIMA has an excellent faculty resource. The faculty members are engaged in cutting edge research and consulting in this space.
