Dr. Sangayya S Sirurmath holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Bangalore University Bangaluru, M.L.I.Sc & MA from Karnatak University Dharwad, M.Com., from KSOU. Mysore and PGDLAN from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad.
Presently, he works as a University Librarian & Head, Information Centre & Library, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (Deemed to be University), Pune. He also worked as Registrar and Finance Officer of the DIAT (DU). Before joining the Institute, he worked as Chief Librarian (Senior Vice President), Osian's Center for Archiving, Research, and Development, Mumbai from 2006-2010; Librarian, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad from 2003-2006; Chief Librarian at XLRI-School of Management, Jamshedpur from 1999-2003; Assistant Librarian, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur from 1989-1999 and Librarian, PMNM Dental College and Hospital, Bagalkot from 1988-1989.
He has 34 years of experience in Medical, Engineering, management, archives, and university libraries. He also worked as a lecturer in Library and Information Science in Siddaganga Women's College at Tumkur and coordinated several Management Development Programmes at XLRI. Jamshedpur organized national and international conferences.
