About the Speaker: Professor Paul Nightingale, an esteemed academic, boasts a career that spans various facets of the field of strategy. He serves as a Professor of Strategy within the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) and in the domain of Business and Management. In addition to these prestigious positions, he serves as Associate Dean of Research at the University of Sussex Business School.

Professor Paul Nightingale, an esteemed academic and scholar, has cultivated a diverse career marked by a deep commitment to understanding innovation, strategy, and the complex relationships among technology, finance, and public policy. Grounded in a background in chemistry, he holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Innovation Management and a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) from the University of Sussex. After completing his PhD, Professor Paul spent a decade at the Complex Product Systems Innovation Centre, jointly run between SPRU and CENTRIM. During this tenure, he made significant contributions, focusing on bioinformatics systems and risk management technology within investment banks.
