A former IAS officer, Parameswaran Iyer was Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation in New Delhi during 2016-2020 and led the implementation of the national flagship $ 20 billion Swachh Bharat Mission (Clean India Mission) which delivered access to safe sanitation to 550 million people. He is currently the CEO and Manager of the 2030 Water Resources Group, a public-private-civil society partnership hosted by the World Bank, Washington DC. He has over 25 years of experience in the water and sanitation sector and has worked in many countries, including Vietnam, China, Egypt and Lebanon.
